Nitrogen Evaporator with Heating Block - Accurate Evaporation for Laboratory Samples

In many laboratories, there is a need to concentrate liquid samples by removing volatile solvents, without damaging the active material. A nitrogen evaporator with a heating block provides an ideal solution, enabling fast, safe, and controlled evaporation.

What is a Nitrogen Evaporator with Heating Block?

Nitrogen Evaporator combines the flow of dry nitrogen gas with a heated metal block (usually aluminum) that maintains a consistent temperature, typically between 30-80°C. The block contains slots or openings in which vials or tubes are placed. The heat from the block accelerates evaporation, while the nitrogen gas facilitates solvent removal.

      How Does the Device Work?

      1. The sample is placed in a vial or tube and inserted into the block.

      2. A manifold with nitrogen needles is positioned above each sample.

      3. The block provides uniform heating to all samples.

      4. Nitrogen gas is directed into the mouth of each container to promote evaporation.

      5. The solvent evaporates, and the concentrated sample remains in the vessel.

Advantages of a Heating Block Nitrogen Evaporator:

      • Fast and precise evaporation

      • Suitable for heat-sensitive samples

      • Even heating without hot spots

      • Easy to operate and maintain

      • Allows multiple samples to be processed simultaneously

      Typical Applications:

      • Concentration of samples for GC, HPLC, LC-MS

      • Preparation of extracts and active compounds

      • Pharmaceutical, food, and natural material testing

      • Solvent residue reduction in regulatory and QC labs

      Safety and Maintenance:

      • Operate in a well-ventilated area

      • Ensure proper flow and needle function

      • Avoid overheating

      • Clean the block and system regularly
