Reference test method: IEC60529 IP5.6 non‐abrasive fine dust test (steady air pressure),
suitable for evaluating the sealing performance of the test piece.
4. Test Conditions
a. Dust: Dry, non‐abrasive fine particles that must pass through a square mesh with a
wire diameter of 50μm and a width of 75μm.
b. Dust concentration: Each cubic meter of the inner box volume contains at least 2‐4 kg
of dust
c. Air pressure inside the specimen
86 kPa ~106 kPa (860 mbar ~1060 mbar)
d. Pumping rate: The pumping volume per hour must be less than 60 times the volume
of the test piece.
e. Dwell time
